Roblox dropped Q2 2025 earnings

It’s officially the biggest quarter in company history.

📈 $1.44B Bookings (+51% YoY)
🕐 27.4B Hours Engaged (+58% YoY)
👥 111.8M DAUs (+41% YoY)
💸 $316M paid to devs (+52% YoY)
💰 $199M in Operating Cash Flow (+32% YoY)

A few things jump out — especially for teams like ours at Karta, building branded UGC experiences on the platform:

1️⃣ Engagement is exploding. This isn’t just more users — it’s more time, more loyalty, and more space for creativity. Breakout hits like Grow a Garden, which nearly doubled in player size last quarter, played a major role in fueling this growth.

2️⃣ Dev payouts are scaling with growth. Roblox’s creator economy isn’t a side hustle anymore — it’s a serious revenue engine for individuals and studios alike.

3️⃣ Bookings are growing faster than revenue. Players are buying Robux at record rates — a sign that big spend moments (events, cosmetics, in-game commerce) are only getting stronger.

4️⃣ Roblox is clearly signaling what’s next: AI creation, real-world commerce, immersive ads, and brand-led experiences. We’re seeing that shift in real time.

For Karta, this quarter only reinforces what we already believe:

Roblox isn’t just a game — it’s one of the most powerful marketing platforms in the world.

Karta turns 4!

Four years ago Karta was born with one clear goal: to make brands playable. Since 2021 we have been on a mission to help brands show up in the most fun and creative ways inside the games people love.

🛠️ In Roblox we have brought brands to life with
Sunsilk City, Ronald McDonald House, Man City Blue Moon, TWICE Square, BLACKPINK The Palace, e.l.f. UP, Nicki Minaj’s Gag City, Planet HUGO, Bundesliga Avatar Shop, Fortune Island, My Eurovision Party, and Makeship.

🎮 In Fortnite we have created worlds where players
Raced with NASCAR, dropped beats with Juice WRLD and Amazon Music, launched Adidas Hyperchase, built our own Beat Builder, and helped Spotify make waves in game.

To our clients, collaborators, brilliant team, and the hundreds of millions of players who have jumped into our worlds, thank you.

You have helped shape four unforgettable years, and we are only just getting started 🕹️💥

Chicago Street Race Returns to Fortnite with a New Look

🏁 Chicago Street Race is back — and this time, it’s faster, fresher, and more immersive than ever.

Last week, we relaunched Fortnite Rocket Racing’s first-ever branded map, originally released in 2024, with a full revamp that brings a bold new vibe to the streets of Chicago.

What’s New:

  • 🛣️ Updated track design for tighter turns and smoother flow
  • Enhanced in-game elements and visuals
  • 🎉 New Ally Racing Festival area — a vibrant, immersive celebration space

While staying true to its urban street racing roots, this update injects new energy into the experience — and the community response has been 🔥.

We’ve already seen a noticeable increase in average playtime compared to the original launch week — proving once again how iteration drives deeper engagement.

Big thanks to everyone who’s raced through the streets of Chicago (again).
Let’s keep pushing what branded UEFN racing experiences can be. 🚗💨

UEFN Just Got Its Biggest Update Yet — Here’s What It Means for Creators

🔥 Unreal Editor for Fortnite (UEFN) just dropped its most powerful update so far — and it’s a total game-changer for creators.

From smarter tools to real-time AI and official IP integrations, this update isn’t just technical — it’s creative freedom, leveled up.

At Karta, we’ve been building at the cutting edge of UEFN since day one — and here’s what has us most excited:

🪵 Nanite Foliage

Build dense, high-fidelity forests with real geometry — no more flat LOD cards. Every leaf, branch, and pine needle now renders beautifully in-game.

🤖 AI NPCs & Game Logic

Talk to NPCs powered by large language models — and let them drive your game logic. Personality, storytelling, emergent gameplay — now in your hands.

🧱 LEGO Brick Editor (June 17)

Brick-by-brick LEGO building inside Fortnite. 50+ pieces, 42 colors, and full official tooling.

📊 Fortnite Data API (June 9)

Access real performance data for every island. Track plays, trends, and metrics — and grow smarter.

🛠 Epic Developer Assistant

Your new AI sidekick. Write code, fix errors, explain logic — inside your workflow.

🎭 Metahuman Animator (Live Now)

Animate faces using just your webcam. Real-time, realistic facial performance from anywhere.

🎮 Scene Graph (June 7)

Prefab-friendly, modular hierarchy with full Verse access — making complex builds way more efficient.

✨ More Official IP

Squid Game (June 27), Avatar (2025), Star Wars (coming soon) — each with usable tools, assets, and gameplay systems for creators.

UEFN is evolving rapidly — and so are the creative possibilities for branded experiences, custom game modes, and storytelling.

Karta is building right in the middle of it.

Fortnite Returns to the iOS App Store — After 4 Years Away

Fortnite is officially back on the U.S. App Store — for the first time since 2020! 🥳

This marks a major shift for both players and creators.
Why? Because iOS once accounted for over 20% of Fortnite’s total player base — that’s 116 million+ players now back within reach. 👀

Why This Matters:

With Fortnite Creative and UEFN gaining serious momentum, this mobile relaunch could reshape:

  • 📈 Creator earnings (more players = more potential revenue)
  • 📱 Mobile-driven engagement (especially for casual + global players)
  • 💼 Brand reach (now back across all major platforms)

In Fortnite’s absence, Roblox has dominated mobile — but with Fortnite unlocking its iOS audience again, the competition could tighten.

This move reopens one of Fortnite’s most powerful channels, and we’re excited to see how it impacts UGC creators, branded activations, and platform dynamics moving forward.
